Our Swim Team is run solely by parents, so it is absolutely necessary for us all to work together to make the season successful, smooth and FUN for our kiddos!

If your child is swimming in a Meet, there must be at least one adult family member/friend volunteering to run one of the positions for the Swim Meet.

Below you can find a list of positions that we need filled at each event and what the position entails:

Age Group Coordinator:

This volunteer is in charge of making sure the swimmers of their specified age group (for example GIRLS 5 and under) get to their events. The announcer will call ahead of time for swimmers to line up. This is when the age group coordinators will get their swimmers in order and take them to where they need to be for their event.

Substitute: This position will fill any of the above positions that either need assistance or have not been filled.

Timers/Head Timer: This job requires a charged phone with the Swimmingly app downloaded. This volunteer will arrive at the pool, and find the Volunteer coordinator to check-in. The volunteer will attend a timers' meeting to get connected to the Swimmingly network. When the starter starts the heat, your phone will automatically start. All you have to do is stop it when the swimmer touches the wall. You also have to enter the number of the swimmer into your phone (it will be marked on their shoulder).  
* Use a flutter board for the heads of the young ones to touch when they are swimming backstroke

Concession: This volunteer will arrive at the pool early to set up the items for the concession stand. Once the treasurer has arrived, the volunteer will get the cash box from him/her and will begin to sell items. The concession stand will be open throughout the whole meet. The volunteer will ‘take down’ the concession stand and pack up all items when the Meet is over and give cash box back to the treasurer.

Concession Workers:

This volunteer position is split into 2 shifts. The first shift worker has to arrive at the pool early to help set up the pool deck for the meet. Once the deck is ready the worker will help sell items at the concession stand. The second shift worker will start around event 40 and will help sell concession items until the end of the meet. At the end of the meet, the volunteer will help get the pool deck set back up.

Water / Runner: This volunteer will get the cups and ice from the Volunteer Coordinator and will continuously bring water to the Coaches and Volunteers throughout the Meet. This volunteer will also pick up all of the papers from the timers after each event and bring them to the volunteers in the Computer room.

Stroke and Turn:

This volunteer position is the swim meet official. This volunteer position requires extra training. Please let us know if you are interested.
