Hello Forest Springs Frogs families (AND NEW FAMILIES!)

The 2019 swim season is just around the corner! We are excited about another season at Forest Springs. We hope you all are excited as well. We have some very positive changes this year in store for the swim team that will make meets more exciting and hopefully run smooth as well.

As of tonight sign ups are open on the website for the coming season. Please visit forestspringsfrogs.swimtopia.com to sign your swimmer up for the upcoming season.

Also a few pieces of information:

1. EVERY swimmer receives a team t-shirt included in their registration fee. There is no reason to order a shirt for them. You may order additional shirts for parents, family members, etc. That is available in the “merchandise” section of the website. The shirt image will be posted shortly but will be the soft green shirt we had a couple years ago with a new logo on the front.

2. The meet schedule and practice schedule are on the website. The meet schedule is on the front and the practice schedule is in the “News” tab. Team information is included in the parent handbook. (the 2019 handbook will be available shortly)

3. Swimmers must participate in a minimum of two regular-season events in order to qualify for League Qualifications. This is the meet at the end of the season where swimmers have a chance to move on to the championship meet the following week.

4. Families must provide one volunteer for every meet you have a swimmer participating in. We are a small team so we need to have every family step up and volunteer

Due to school going later into the summer our first practices will be May 28/30 (evening practices for ALL swimmers). Morning practices will start when JCPS lets out.

Also please be on the look out for two events coming up:

Parent meeting (more than likely during practice on 5/28 or 5/30)

Swim Team kick off party at the pool…..TBD

I think this is going to be another fun season. Go ahead and sign up now and declare for meets that you know you will be attending. This will help our coaching staff be able to prepare for meets in advance. WE ARE HOSTING 11&O QUALS THIS YEAR! More info to come.
